Переглядів 13 тис.Місяць тому
Well, it's been a heck of a week, folks. I'm still reeling a bit but wanted to share our dahlia process. When I started overwintering our dahlias in the ground and dividing in spring, folks thought I was nuts. Most farmers dig up the tubers in the fall and divide, storing all winter. And while we've done that before, we have losses in storage and it's a lot of work. I LOVE doing this instead so...

Charring the wood on top wont help since its the the bottom that sits in the soil moisture. Rotting is not ideal if you're interested in preserving your work. But if you don't care, nobody else should.

Very nice i would not have thought of that and like u said if you know it will turn into dirt who cares. I put wood chips down on my garden paths and thats a ton of work to move woodchips from the front of my yard to the back acre, one wheelbarrow at a time. I never regret it!❤

That really depends on the soil you have snd the climate you live in. And having compost can help you a lot with improving quality and yield. Agree with everything else, but its not universally something everyone can get away with. Mulch your fruits and veggies is very good advice.
